Vol. 194 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Undivided Tipperary Farms.

44.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Lands the name (of the previous owner), the date, and cost of acquisition of each as yet undivided farm at present in the hands of the Land Commission in County Tipperary; and the amount received in sub-letting or otherwise by the Land Commission on each farm since the date of acquisition.

The land settlement programme, throughout the country, involves very numerous transactions, sometimes relating to quite limited acreages and the over-all position of the lands on hands is continuously changing—particularly in the period January to March, which is the peak of the allotment season. In the circumstances, I will ask the Land Commission to communicate with the Deputy, when relevant statistics as at 31st March, 1962, become available.
