asked the Minister for Education when the site was acquired for the new national school at Drinagh, County Cork.

With your permission a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 70, 71 and 72 together.

Sketch plans were prepared by the Commissioners of Public Works in June, 1959, for the erection of a new school building at Drinagh. These plans, which were approved by my Department, were sent to the Reverend Manager in July, 1959.

Satisfactory evidence of title to the greater portion of the site for the new school was furnished in July, 1958, and steps are being taken to obtain title to the remaining portion of the site.

A grant was sanctioned in May, 1960, towards the cost of erecting the new school.

It is understood from the Commissioners of Public Works that, when they are satisfied as to the availability of an adequate supply of water for the school, they will have the detailed working drawings put in hands.

I am not in a position at present to say when building operations will commence.
