Alexander, JosephCrossan & Sons, Michael.Gallagher, PatrickGillespie, Bros.McGowan Bros.(Ballybofey) Ltd.

Application was received and licence granted before January. 1958, up to which date it was the policy to grant licences to all applicants who were in a position to comply with the requirements of the Agricultural Produce (Potatoes) Act, 1931.

Greene, Charles, Falcarragh.

Licence was granted as an exceptional measure to deal with the export of surplus ware from the Falcarragh scheduled area.

Blaney, Henry J.

Licence formerly held by Messrs. J.M. O'Doherty & Sons, Newtowncunningham, transferred at their request to Mr. Blaney.

O'Donnell, Séamus

Licence transferred to him by his

father on the latter's retirement

from business.

Silke, John J. & Sons

Following the death of John J. Silke, the trading name on the licence was changed to John J. Silke & Sons at the request of his legal representatives.

(3) Applications Refused.

In January, 1958, it was decided that, save in very exceptional circumstances, no further applications for licences from County Donegal should be granted as the existing number of licensed holders was adequate to cater for the available export trade in potatoes. Since that date 27 applications have been refused.
