asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that as a result of the acquisition of McGarrigle's bog in Meentacor, Frosses, County Donegal by the Forestry Branch of his Department the thirty tenants who formerly had turbary rights on the holding are now deprived of them and left without bog and turf; and, if so, if the Land Commission will take immediate steps to allocate alternative turbary to these tenants.

These lands did not come into the possession of the Forestry Division of my Department until last month. The possibility of accommodating the turbary tenants elsewhere in the locality will be examined. Meanwhile, the Forestry Division will make them turbary lettings for this year on the lands at Meentacor.
