Vol. 196 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballyfermot (Dublin) Vocational School.

58.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Education the number of pupils which it is proposed to accommodate in the new vocational school in Ballyfermot, Dublin; and when building operations will commence and conclude.

The proposed new vocational school at Ballyfermot is intended to accommodate 240 boys in day continuation courses. Evening classes for adults will also be provided but it is not possible to estimate in advance the numbers of pupils that will be catered for in these classes.

It is not yet possible for me to say when building work will commence or conclude.

The present position is that the submission to my Department of lay-out drawings for certain of the classrooms is awaited.
