Published records are available of the expenditure of local authorities and of capital issues from the Local Loans Fund in respect of financial years. I do not consider that I would be justified in applying the time and energies of officials of local authorities and of my Department to collecting the information sought in the Question.
It would not suit the Minister's book either.
