Vol. 196 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Shannon Industrial Estate: Tax Concessions.

24.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he has made a study of the likely effects on the tax concessions for exports, etc., now operating in the Shannon Industrial Estate, of agreement to the present terms of the Treaty of Rome; and, if so, whether he will state the result of such study.

In advance of an examination by the Commission of the European Economic Community of the legislative arrangements under which the Shannon Industrial Estate has been set up, it is not possible to say what the likely effect of agreement to the present terms of the Rome Treaty would be on the arrangements at Shannon.
