The Commission on the Restoration of the Irish Language —to which, it is presumed, the question refers—has not yet submitted to me its final report. The House will appreciate that the Commission is considering a very important and complex subject.
At this stage, I cannot give any indication as to when the report may be published.
Can the Taoiseach say how long the Commission are in being?
They were appointed in 1958.
Did they submit an interim report?
They submitted two reports, one dealing with television and another with school textbooks.
