Preliminary design documents for the bridge which were prepared by Kerry County Council's consulting engineer, were discussed by the Department's engineering advisers with a representative of the consultant on 9th instant, when general agreement was reached. Arrangements are now being made by the Department to consult with the other Departments concerned. A decision on the preliminary plans will be conveyed to the county council without avoidable delay.
