As I explained in a reply to a Parliamentary question in this matter on 13 February, 1963, the testing of milk samples for strontium 90 is carried out on behalf of my Department by the Meteorological Service and by the British Agricultural Research Council. While the results so far available show some fluctuation in strontium content over the past 12 months, the level has at no time been such as to give any cause for concern.
