Vol. 201 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dundrum (Tipperary) Dispensary.

5.

asked the Minister for Health the reason for the delay in erecting a new dispensary at Dundrum, County Tipperary; and if he is aware of the grave and urgent necessity of having this dispensary erected in view of the fact that people attending the present dispensary must remain outside the door in inclement weather, as the county manager sublet about two years ago the rooms where such people waited.

The provision of a new dispensary to replace the existing unsuitable premises at Dundrum, Tipperary South Riding, is a matter for the local health authority. I understand, however, that the health authority has only recently obtained possession of the site, purchased by it for the erection of a new dispensary at Dundrum, and that tenders for the construction of the new premises will be invited shortly by public advertisement.
