asked the Minister for Agriculture with reference to each of the following types of cheese, viz., Colby, Camembert and Brie (a) the quantity manufactured in 1962, (b) the factories which manufactured them, (c) the quantity and type produced by each factory, (d) the countries to which they were exported, and (e) the quantity sold and the price obtained in each country.

In 1962, Colby cheese was manufactured by the Condensed Milk Company of Ireland (1928) Ltd., Lansdowne, Limerick; Golden Vale Food Products, Ltd., Rathluirc, County Cork; and Mitchelstown Creameries, Mitchelstown, County Cork. The general statistics of cheese production collected by my Department do not differentiate between the different varieties nor do the statistics of exports prepared by the Central Statistics Office.
