asked the Minister for Lands (a) the total number of estates taken over by the Land Commission in County Waterford which have not yet been allocated, giving the acreage in each estate, (b) the number and names of estates proposed to be allocated during this financial year, and (c) the number of estates for which the Land Commission have started acquisition proceedings.

Following are the replies to the various parts of the question:

(a) The particulars requested take the form of a tabular statement which I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate with the Official Report.

(b) It is still too early to indicate what lands in Co. Waterford will be allocated during this financial year. For the Deputy's information, however, I can say that in the year ended 31st March last, a total of some 1,300 acres was allotted in the county amongst 54 allottees.

(c) Six estates aggregating 432 acres, including two properties comprising 174 acres being purchased from owners on a voluntary basis.
