I understand that there are some 500 applicants for turbary in the area referred to. With a view to providing for them, the Land Commission have acquired a number of bogs in the locality for development. In some cases the work is in progress and in others it is imminent. Turbary rights will be allotted as soon as possible and in the meantime seasonal lettings will continue to be made as far as practicable.
