Vol. 202 No. 7

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 3 and 6.

With your permission, Sir, I propose to raise on the Adjournment, the subject matter of Question No. 16 on today's Order Paper.

The Chair will communicate with the Deputy.

Will the Taoiseach say whether, when we finish No. 6, it is intended to go on to Estimates and to remain at the Estimates or to discuss some of the Bills as well as the Estimates?

I shall ask the Whips to inform the Deputy.

Will the Taoiseach have some information for us tomorrow?

That may be possible. I gather there is a likelihood of agreement on a motion to terminate discussion on No. 6 tomorrow.

Would it not be a good thing if we could get some idea of the legislative programme?

Yes. I will undertake to give that before the end of the month but I should not like to do so now.

One of the relevant factors is the length of the Finance Bill.

I am afraid it will be a long Bill.

August is a nice month for sitting.

If they last that long.

That is highly doubtful, I agree.
