*There are, technically, no forests in County Meath—a sufficiently large area has not yet been acquired in the county to enable a separate forest unit to be established there. Small areas have been acquired in the county but they are managed from forests in neighbouring counties. Records are kept on a forest basis and not on a county basis.

B. Lands on offer to the Forestry Division in Counties Meath, Kildare and Westmeath.

It would not be possible to estimate whether or when all or any of these areas will be acquired by the Department, nor can any useful estimate be made of employment potential.
