Steps have already been taken to reconstitute this Association as a corporate body under the Health (Corporate Bodies) Act, 1961. I have certified, under section 8 of the Act, that it is a body to which the Act applies and a meeting of the Association has been called for the 25th instant, to pass the necessary resolution for the winding up of the company. When the resolution has been passed, the Association will have been a corporate body within the meaning of the Act but it will be necessary to make an establishment order. It is intended that the establishment order will make provision for a superannuation scheme for the staff of the Association, as contemplated in Section 4 of the Act. While the principles of such a scheme have been settled in consultation with the Minister for Local Government, the drafting of the detailed provisions may delay the making of the order for some weeks.
