Vol. 208 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Driving Testers.

42.

andMr. Harte asked the Minister for Local Government if he will now supply the names and addresses of inspectors appointed for the testing of applicants for mechanical road vehicles drivers' licences under the Road Traffic Act.

In view of the fact that all of the first group of driver testers who have been selected for appointment have not yet taken up duty I do not propose to give their names at this stage.

I do not propose to give their addresses because I am not satisfied that it would be in the public interest to do so.

Would the Minister say if any of them have taken up duty yet?

Are they all located in the city of Dublin?

Throughout the country?

Are there any located in Donegal?

Are there any from Donegal?

There is no question of locating any of them anywhere in particular. They will be located here and there as the occasion arises.

As long as they are in Donegal, it does not matter.
