Vol. 208 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dangerous Quarries.

57.

asked the Minister for Local Government if any compulsory purchase orders, relating to land which includes dangerous quarries, are awaiting confirmation in his Department; if so, if he will state the date on which they were made, the number of properties and the area involved; and when it is proposed to confirm each order.

There is one compulsory purchase order before my Department at present relating to the acquisition of four dangerous quarries. The order was made by Dublin County Council on the 20th March, 1964, and the latest date for lodging objections is 27th April. The order provides for the acquisition of five properties at Crumlin with a total area of 9 acres, 3 roods and 4 perches. A decision on the order will be conveyed as quickly as possible, after compliance with the statutory requirements.
