I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 5, 6 and 7 together.

On the average the duty paid on a half-pint or half-pint bottle of ale is approximately 4¼d, on lager beer 4¾d and on a pint of stout 9?d. Information about the specific gravities of beers is regarded as confidential by the Revenue Commissioners.

Will the Board tell the people what they drink?

I know well what they drink.
