Vol. 216 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Old Age Pension Appeals.

18.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he is aware of the unnecessary and lengthy delays in giving decisions in respect of old age pension appeals; and if he will give an assurance that such delays will be considerably shortened.

I am not so aware. Every effort is made and will continue to be made, to ensure that decisions are given with the least possible delay. If the Deputy will let me have particulars of any case in which he considers there has been unreasonable delay, I will have it specially investigated.
