I do not consider that there is any need to advise housing authorities on the lines suggested by the Deputy. Subject to compliance with statutory priorities, it would be open to housing authorities to provide houses for part-time fire brigade personnel who are in need of rehousing. It would, of course, be desirable if such houses could be provided near fire stations.
