A site had been selected for a new Garda station at Rathangan, but the Kildare County Council suggested that a more central site should be sought. An alternative site suggested by the council is being investigated.

Tenders for the erection of this station have been invited, and it is hoped to place a contract in the near future.

Tentative agreement has been reached for the purchase of a site for a new Garda station at Kinnegad. As soon as confirmation of the owner's agreement is obtained, the legal formalities for the acquisition of the site will be put in train.

A considerable amount of legal difficulties arose in connection with the acquisition of the selected site for the new Garda station at Clane. Most of these difficulties have now been resolved, however, and it is hoped to complete the transaction in the near future.

A suitable site for the new station required at Ballymore Eustace has not yet been obtained. Two possible sites are under consideration, but it is yet too early to say if either of them can be acquired.
