Vol. 217 No. 3

Business of Dáil.

May I ask the Taoiseach when it is expected that the new Housing Bill will be in the hands of Deputies? I assume Deputies will have it as early as any other section of the community.

That would be a very large assumption.

There are complications this week-end.

I appreciate that there are complications, but I do not think it is right that we should hear news of this important Bill from a source other than the Bill itself.

(South Tipperary): We will get it before the newspapers this time anyway.

You will not.

Will the Taoiseach explain how it is possible to give the information to the newspapers this evening if the Bill will not be available to Deputies before the week-end?

It is the Bill, not the information. What will be in the Bill has in the main been published.

I understand that a trade dispute will disrupt the printing industry probably tonight. Have any arrangements been made for the documentation of our proceedings in the House? Is it to be done by way of cyclostyle?

I answered a question by the Leader of the Deputy's Party on that matter this morning.

It was not a very clear answer.

I am assuming that the Taoiseach is not misleading me.
