With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the average weekly earnings of industrial workers engaged in industries producing transportable goods for a week each in December, 1963, March, 1964, and March, 1965, the latest available date and the amounts which would be required in the year 1938 to purchase the same quantum of goods and services at retail prices as would the earnings quoted at the periods specified.
