Mr. Barrett

asked the Taoiseach if he will give details of the number of civil servants in his Department who hold posts in State or semi-State bodies, companies or corporations which have been assisted by the State, details of the remuneration of each such person by virtue of his Civil Service post and details of the remuneration or allowances accruing to such officials by virtue of other positions with the bodies in question.

The Secretary of my Department, who is also the Secretary to the Government, is a Civil Service Commissioner. His present salary is £4,950 a year, which is inclusive of an allowance that was formerly payable to him as a Civil Service Commissioner.
