I am not aware that proposals for these schemes have been deferred. I understand from Offaly County Council that proposals for the water supply scheme which have already been approved by me in principle, will have to be modified due to the necessity for the provision of an alternative source of supply. Contract documents in respect of Banagher sewerage improvement scheme were received in my Department on 22nd instant and are at present under examination.
