Vol. 220 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Payment of Old Age Pensions.

71.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will arrange that old age pensions be paid to old people who have to go and live in England with their families; as at present they have to report back to this country after three months.

Old age contributory pensions may be paid to pensioners resident in England and arrangements for payment are made with the British postal authorities.

There is no power under existing legislation to pay old age non-contributory pension to any person while resident in England.
