Negotiations have taken place for the acquisition of about 57 acres on the northern side of the Hill of Tara but a substantial offer has not been accepted by the owner of the land.
The Finance Solicitor has now been instructed to proceed in accordance with the compulsory powers of acquisition contained in the National Monuments Acts.
