Driving tests must, in general, be carried out in the larger centres of population where varied traffic conditions are experienced. It is recognised, however, that where a person has to undergo a test on a slow moving vehicle, such as an agricultural tractor or a moped, there would be grave hardship on him if he were required to travel a long distance with his vehicle to an appointed centre. In such cases, arrangements are now made whereby the test may be carried out otherwise than at a regular centre. These arrangements for the carrying out of limited tests apply to the area of Galway county west of Galway city.
So, they are not to be Monte Carlo tests any longer?
I think that is what the Deputy wishes them to be.
