The number of factory inspectors attached to my Department can vary from year to year and also within a particular year because of resignations, retirements and death. Vacancies thus arising are, of course, filled by fresh recruitment.
Subject to this qualification, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate the information requested by the Deputy, in the form of a tabular statement with the Official Report.
