Vol. 221 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of County Cork Estates.

62.

asked the Minister for Lands how many estates will be divided by the Land Commission in County Cork this spring; and if he will give their location.

Already this year an area of 770 acres has been allotted by the Land Commission in County Cork. The land settlement programme generally for the remainder of the current financial year is necessarily still tentative and it is not possible at this stage to indicate precisely the particular lands which will be disposed of this spring. Perhaps, in the circumstances, it would meet the Deputy's requirements to know that, for the year as a whole, it may be possible to achieve an aggregate allotment in the region of 1,500 acres in County Cork.

If the Deputy is interested in any particular estate, I would suggest that he communicate direct with the Land Commission in the matter.
