Having regard to the proposals for scheduled and non-scheduled services at Shannon this summer, it is expected that for the period in question terminal and transit passenger traffic there will reach 268,000 and 109,000 respectively.

In the 12 months ended 31st December, 1965, terminal freight traffic at Shannon totalled 5,701 metric tons, an increase of 34 per cent over 1964. Transit freight in the same period rose to 13,523 metric tons, an increase of 15 per cent over 1964.
