Vol. 221 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Pedestrian Crossing.

17.

andMr. Booth asked the Minister for Local Government if he will make the necessary recommendations to have a traffic light pedestrian crossing combination sited at the junction of Kill Lane, Kill Avenue and Clonkeen Road, Dublin.

The provision of traffic lights and pedestrian crossings is a matter for the local authority concerned acting at the request, or with the consent, of the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána. I understand that consideration is being given to the desirability of providing traffic lights including a pedestrian phase at the junction in question as part of the road improvement works at present being carried out at Kill Lane.
