asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will ascertain and state as regards Bord na Móna the cost of the twelve per cent national wage adjustment, for the various grades, in the year ended 31st March, 1965, in the form of a reply of 27th January, 1966; and the cost of any additional benefits and wage adjustments in the year ended 31st December, 1965 in similar form.
The following is the information:—
(a) The cost of the 12% National Agreement in Bord na Móna in year ended 31st March, 1965, was:

(b) There were no additional salary increases or benefits in respect of Engineering and Clerical staff in year ended 31st December, 1965.
(c) There was one additional wage adjustment in year ended 31st December, 1965, i.e. shift rate in briquette factories was increased from time plus one-eighth to time plus one-sixth. This affected 50 men and additional cost in year ended 31st December, 1965, was approximately £1,050.
(d) There was one additional benefit received by hourly paid super-annuable workers in year ended 31st December, 1965, by way of a Sickness Benefit Scheme which commenced on 13th October, 1965. The Scheme is contributory (1/- per week by employee and Board). The cost of the Board's contribution in year ended 31st December, 1965, was £827.
