There is no proposal before my Department for the provision of houses in Kilcormac, and it is a matter for the housing authority to initiate any such proposal. I understand that about 18 persons have applied for rehousing in the area, that their applications are being examined, and that steps are being taken by the authority to acquire land for a housing scheme.
