The cost of the transport service to be provided as a result of the proposed closing of Carrigeengeare national school will be borne entirely by the State. The manager will be given an opportunity to make a nominal contribution merely to preserve the managerial position. No portion of the cost of the transport will fall to be met by the parents of the children.
