The final statements of expenditure and receipts of the Authority certified by the Local Government Auditor, in respect of the years ended 31st March, 1963, and 31st March, 1964, were received in my Department only last month. The amounts involved in respect of these two years constitute all but £600 approximately of the sum mentioned in the question. The matter is in the course of examination and I anticipate that the appropriate payment of grant will be made within the next few weeks.
