This information is not available but I understand that the total membership of brown trout clubs is about 18,000 and that the number of visiting brown trout anglers in 1965 was about 46,500. The majority of these would, I think, be males over 21.
Is the Parliamentary Secretary in a position to tell the House if it is intended to proceed with the insane proposal to levy a tax upon each of these fishermen and fisher-women?
That hardly arises out of the question.
It is a separate matter.
Certainly the tax will arise out of the trout fishers, if the Minister gets his way.
