asked the Minister for Finance whether he has yet sanctioned the proposals of (a) Tipperary Urban District Council, (b) Carrick-on-Suir Urban District Council, (c) Cashel Urban District Council, (d) Clonmel Corporation, (e) Tipperary (South Riding) County Council and (f) Waterford County Council for Christmas relief work under the employment and emergency schemes; and, if so, if he will state in each case the amount of the grant, what proposals have been sanctioned, what the cost of each proposal will be and what was the date of sanction.

The proposals have been sanctioned for the urban areas mentioned, and, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report a tabular statement giving the information requested in respect of them.
It has not been possible this year to give employment schemes grants to other than urban areas.
