Vol. 227 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Leitrim School Water Supply.

52.

asked the Minister for Education if a water supply has been provided in Tawnyinshina national school, Glenfarne, County Leitrim where the number of children is now over 60 owing to the closing of another school in the area.

Mr. O'Malley

I would refer the Deputy to my reply of 8th February, 1967, to his question concerning this school. I understand that subsequently the manager found it necessary to defer the execution of the scheme to provide WCS at Tawnyinshina pending a final decision as to the location and size of the new central school.

This matter has now been decided and the manager is now being instructed by the Commissioner of Public Works to proceed with the scheme which will render the school serviceable pending the erection of the central school.
