Vol. 228 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of County Donegal River.

23.

asked the Minister for Local Government if and when a rural improvement scheme grant will be made available to an applicant (name supplied) for the drainage of the Murragh river, Bridgetown, County Donegal.

The drainage of this river would not be an appropriate work to undertake under the rural improvements scheme.

(Cavan): Is it a fact that no more applications are being accepted during the current year under the rural improvement scheme?

That is a separate question.

(Cavan): Is it a fact, nevertheless?

This question refers to the Murragh River in County Donegal.

The answer is that it is a fact and that they are ashamed and they ought to be ashamed.

There was no Christmas relief scheme last year.
