I move:
That Deputy L'Estrange be suspended from the service of the House.
Vol. 228 No. 7
I move:
That Deputy L'Estrange be suspended from the service of the House.
The motion is carried. Deputy L'Estrange will please obey the instructions of the House.
I leave on your wishes, but the Vice-Chairman was most unfair.
There would have been no vote, if the Vice-Chairman was just.
The House will now proceed with its ordinary duties.
Now that the din has died down, would the Minister give us an indication that before 6 o'clock, he will communicate either with me or with the family concerned and tell them where Mr. Flood is in jail? It is a simple request.
Will the Deputy please allow the ordinary business to proceed?
Is that too much to ask? There is a man in jail for two days and his family do not know where he is in jail.
On a point of order, we are, as far as I know, on Questions Nos. 42 to 45 which, with the permission of the Chair, were being answered together. I want to know are Mr. Flood's family going to be told where he is?
I have completed Question No.46; I have replied to Question No. 46.
The Minister is untrue.
I tabled Question No. 46. I did not hear the Chair invite me to put the question; I did not hear the Minister answer the question and, with respect, I would ask for Question No. 46.
Order.
The Chair had called Question No. 46 and the Minister was about to reply when Deputy L'Estrange intervened.
Question No. 46.
