Vol. 231 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Postal Deliveries.

9.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the considerable upset to business in the Dame Street area in Dublin for some months past because of the non-delivery of the morning post for upwards of threequarters of an hour after the daily opening of offices there; and when action will be taken to restore efficient and punctual delivery of post in the area.

The reasons for the later deliveries some months ago in the Dublin 2 district, which includes the Dame Street area, were given in a reply to a question on 19th October, 1967.

Since then delivery times have been improved in the Dublin 2 district generally, including most of the Dame Street area, and steps have been taken to give an earlier delivery in the remainder of the Dame Street area.
