I am aware that the district medical officer post at Cappawhite is vacant since last July. Despite repeated advertisement the health authority has so far been unable to make a temporary appointment in the district. The post has recently been re-advertised and it is understood there is one applicant. Meanwhile a service is being provided by dispensary doctors from other districts.
