Vol. 241 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal PLV.

187.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of the very high poor law valuation being levied on new properties being erected in County Donegal with particular reference to local authority housing; and what action he proposes to take in the matter.

The fixing and revision of valuations under the Valuation Acts are carried out by the Commissioner of Valuation under the statutory provisions governing the exercise of his functions in these matters and I cannot interfere with the statutory procedure.

Any person aggrieved by reason of a new or revised valuation has the right of appeal, subject to compliance with the procedures and dates laid down in the Valuation Acts.
