Comhairle Náisiúnta na nÓg—National Youth Council— was set up in 1966 as the co-ordinating body of the principal voluntary youth organisations in Ireland and is in receipt of a grant-in-aid from my Department. The objectives of An Chomhairle include representation at international meetings and the exchange of information between member organisations and Government Departments. I do not think that there is any need for me to establish another committee with similar functions.
