asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will provide a public telephone in the village of Kilmacowen, Castletownbere, County Cork.

The extended kiosk programme for rural areas, which was announced earlier this year, provides for replacement of call office telephones in local post offices by street kiosks in areas where the call office telephone is used to a fair extent. Provision of kiosks in areas such as Kilmacowen, where there is no post office, is not envisaged.

119.
