asked the Minister for Local Government if he will now amend the regulations to provide that in respect of class D driving licences applicants may be tested in any commercial road vehicle within that class but that licences will confer entitlement to drive vehicles of only such or a lesser weight as the vehicles used in the relevant tests.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will consider amending the regulations regarding driving tests for commercial vehicles so that vehicles other than those classed as heavy will be acceptable for test purposes.

It is not proposed to amend the regulations. I have already dealt with this matter in my reply to Deputy Ryan's question on 6th November, 1969.
