The unauthorised possession of LSD is not an offence under existing drugs legislation.
However, I am moving an amendment to the Health Bill, 1969, which will enable the unauthorised possession of certain classes of drugs liable to abuse, which are outside the scope of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1934, to be made a punishable offence.
If this measure is accepted I propose to cover LSD in the regulations which I will make under the new section.
